Solution For Android Phones with No LED Notification Light

Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S1 do not have an LED notification light to indicate when a text message or phone call was received by the device. If you’re used to looking for a notification light but no longer have one on your newer phone, there is a solution. Thankfully, there is an app called NoLED that provides a great solution.

Simply Download and install NoLED from the Android Market and you will be prompted to configure the app for your Hangouts, Messaging, Email and Call notifications and add the widget to your screen. The app will then light up a pixel on the screen when a notification is triggered.

I’ve tested some of these apps for my LG K10 (which is beautiful, but has no LED notification light). All of them demand permission to take photos, record video, record location, read text messages. It’s outrageous!

Why have smartphone manufacturers done away with this most useful of features?

It looks like the app was pulled for some reason and the developer has abandoned it. You can still get a previous version over on XDA. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=730692

I clicked on link above but couldn’t access NoLed. I can’t find it in Play store. Did name change? I love this app & spouse wanted it too. Thanks.
