The latest development comes in full swing of an anticipated launch of iOS 14. A lot of talks is trending about this new iOS version. Let us break the ice on what iOS 14 means.

iOS 14: What to Expect 

Despite the revamp of the Photo app and Dark mode, iOS 13 was encumbered with loads of bugs. iOS 14 seeks to raise its perturbed consumers’ spirits. Will Apple hit the bullseye this time around?

iOS 14 Release Date

Grounded on history, iOS 14 will officially be launched in September 2020. Before that, Apple will release a preliminary version of iOS 14 in June. The iOS 14 Beta version will be sent to developers for testing and bug checking. Provided there’s a clean run, iOS 14 will be released to the general public.

iOS 14 Latest Features

Here’s a snippet of the new features in the iOS 14;

  • Messages re-jig. It encompasses three tweaks; Typing indicators, Tags, and ability to pull back iMessage you lament sending.
  • Fitness app. This fitness app will allow users to watch a variety of workout videos as they keep fit. The sports options available in the app include cycling, rowing, walking, dance, and yoga.
  • Multitasking Interface. With the new iOS 14, you don’t have to swipe across individual app screens in case you need to navigate from one app to another. This new multitasking interface displays up to four open apps simultaneously.
  • Ability to set default apps. Say goodbye to being forced to use Mail and Apple’s Safari apps in place of your third-party apps. With the iOS 14, you can set your third party to your desired default function.
  • State-of-the-art widgets and wallpapers. In iOS 14 you will toggle between dark, blurred, and standard display modes. iOS 14 also provides you with a real way to post widgets to your home screen.
  • 5g Support. Fast speeds and low latency are the talks of the town. iOS 14 is fully configured to support 5G signal across its devices.
  • Portable Car Key. Rumor has it that the iOS 14 is integrated with a car key API. (Application Programming Interface). This API will be used to unlock your car with BMW partnering up.
